Annual Club Membership Dues
The Carefree Club Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2024 Pool season! The Pool will open on Saturday, May 25, 2024; we hope to see you and your family there!
All Carefree Club Members who are current with their Annual Maintenance Assessment (dues) can access the Pool on Saturday, May 25. Pool passes used in 2023 will transfer over and be active for the 2024 season. Pool Passes will be reused each season. If a pool pass is lost or destroyed, there will be a $15 replacement charge. If you are new to Carefree, please contact the Pool Chair to arrange pick-up of pool passes:pool@carefreeclub.org. A photo ID will be required for pickup.
If you lost your pass from last season, please contact the Pool Chair for a replacement pass of $15 at: pool@carefreeclub.org. A photo ID will be required for pickup.
As in years past, (24) guest passes are included. Guest passes will be used when a non-member accompanies a member to the Pool. If you are renting the Clubhouse and would like your guests to have access to the Pool on your rental date, you can do so by paying the $65.00 “All-Swim” pass. Guest passes will not be accepted during clubhouse rentals. Please email pool@carefreeclub.org with any questions.
The Annual Maintenance Assessment (dues) of $351.50 reflects the annual CPI (consumer price index) of 4.8% as outlined in Article IV, Section 3, of the Declarations of the Covenants and Restrictions, is due on May 1, 2024. There are several options to make your payment:
- Pay www.carefreeclub.org (processing fees will incur)
- Mail your payment with your lot # in the memo line to: 1202 Leisure Lane, Greenwood, IN 46142
- Drop off your payment with your lot # in the memo line to the dropbox at the Clubhouse (a late fee will apply if not received by May 1)
When implementing the 4.8% CPI (consumer price index), many factors were considered. To help you understand our budget, we considered the rising expenses to maintain the grounds, Clubhouse, and Pool. The Pool is open 130 days for the season for opening procedures, lifeguard training, swim team, and regular operation to members. The cost to run the Pool per day for 130 days is approximately $1,041.45.
When a lot is a Carefree Club, Inc. member, that lot is required to pay the Annual Maintenance Assessment regardless of pool use. For all overdue assessments (not paid by May 1), interest will be applied at the rate of 8%, and the Carefree Club reserves the right to place a lien on the property until assessments are current.
The Carefree Board of Directors is seeking donations to help fund the purchase of an ADA-accessible chair lift for the Pool and assistance to help support the purchase of a pavilion to be installed at the Carefree Club Playground. Please note your contribution when submitting payment.

A convenience fee will be added to the total. The convenience fee range starts at $13.22 and is dependent upon contributing to the lights and/or other donations. You will be able to view the total before submitting payment.

There will be a $50 service fee charged for any returned check. If payment is NOT postmarked by May 1, 2024 a late fee of 8% will be assessed. In addition you will not be eligible for the 24 free guest passes.
